I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Ambedo Counseling.
It is the honor of my lifetime to join alongside you with empathy and compassion (and a side of humor because, well - this can be heavy work, and sometimes we need a moment of levity).
Some of the bravest humans I've known have entrusted me to hold space for their journeys through grief, depression, anxiety, substance use, and trauma. Along the way, I've witnessed deep courage, healing, and new meaning amid the struggle.
I am called to the therapy room as a tribute to my brother, Jason, and my father, Al, both of whom played an integral role in shaping my understanding of humanity, teaching me about genuine acceptance and honoring my quirkiness rather than fighting against it, and speaking my truth even when it's hard.
Both Jason and my dad tragically lost their lives to suicide.
I do this work in hopes that I can empower the courageous humans I work with to find joy in the small moments, deepen their relationships with loved ones, learn to live more in the present, and celebrate what it means to be alive. And, maybe as we do this work, we continue to break the stigma against therapy and ultimately we spread ripples of kindness and healing in our little corner of the world.
